An Esther Foundation initiative

The Esther Fast which we read about in the Book of Esther was God’s sovereign answer to the first documented plot in world history to exterminate the Jewish people. By working together, Queen Esther as an advocate before King Xerxes and Mordechai and his friends as intercessors, the tables were turned. Haman, the prototype of every antisemitic instigator since, was defeated and the Jewish people survived.
Today, just like in the days of Esther, the Jewish people are under threat. What is the answer to the plot to exterminate Israel today and to the current rise of antisemitism around the world? More education? New legislation? Better advocacy? Let us suggest a better way. This Purim, let us combat antisemitism the Biblical way, the way Esther and Mordechai did, through prayer and fasting.
